ZHEJIANG ZHENGYU ELECTRIC CO., LTD was founded in Wenzhou, Zhejiang — China's largest low-voltage electrical manufacturing cluster. The company set up its first production facility with a dedicated engineering team focused on low-voltage electrical component manufacturing.
Production began with Miniature Circuit Breakers and Contactors, followed by HD/HS series knife switches, industrial fuses, and fuse switch disconnectors. By the end of 1996, the product range covered both circuit protection devices and power isolation equipment, serving construction, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
ZHNYU obtained EU CE certification and ISO9001 quality management system certification. Both certifications were issued following on-site audits of manufacturing processes, quality control procedures, and finished product testing against applicable international standards.
The HGL series load isolation switch was introduced, designed for higher current ratings suitable for industrial power distribution panels and switchgear assemblies. This addition extended the company's product range beyond its existing low-voltage switch and fuse offerings.
The ZHNYU trademark was officially registered. Alongside the company's contract manufacturing services, the registered mark gave ZHNYU the ability to build recognition under its own name in both domestic and export channels.
Performance management systems and lean production practices were implemented across all workshops. Changes included standardized operating procedures, KPI-based production tracking, and systematic waste reduction. The restructured workflow improved output consistency and supported larger production batches.
ZHNYU products entered 26 overseas markets, including countries in Europe, the Americas, Central Asia, the Middle East, and South Asia. The international customer base grew to include regional distributors, industrial wholesalers, and procurement agencies serving energy and infrastructure projects.
The company expanded its service scope to include integrated electrical system solutions. Beyond supplying individual components, ZHNYU began offering product selection and compatibility support, technical consultation during project planning, and ongoing engineering assistance for installed systems.
ZHNYU launched a new product line of DC-rated fuses and isolators designed for photovoltaic systems and battery energy storage applications. This marked the company's entry into components purpose-built for the renewable energy sector.
ZHNYU serves customers in over 60 countries and operates more than 100 pieces of production and testing equipment, including temperature rise test benches, mechanical life test benches, and salt spray chambers. Active certifications include ISO9001, CE, CCC, and RoHS. Product development and international market expansion are ongoing.
